On 11 July 2023 Alpha Trains and Siemens Mobility sign service contract for Vectron locomotives over a period of 15 years.

The Škoda Group is finalizing the first non-traction multiple unit (NMU) ComfortJet at its Škoda Vagonka plant in Ostrava.

On 10 July 2023 during the INNOPROM industrial exhibition (10 - 13 July) in Yekaterinburg, Sinara presented the first Class ES104 Lastochka EMU.

On 7 July 2023, 3TE28-0002, built at the BMZ, arrived at the VNIKTI testing facility in Kolomna to undergo acceptance and certification tests. 

Two four-car Class 9300 EMUs were built by Kinki Sharyo using parts supplied by Mitsubishi Electric, Hitachi and Toyo Electric.

On 5 July 2023 Renfe President, Raül Blanco, visited Stadler's factory in Albuixech, València, where he was able to see construction in progress of the first two of the 79 EMUs ordered in spring 2021 for Cercanías services.

On 6 July 2023 ÖBB and Stadler signed the contract for 35 more KISSes.

As we described here, CAF managed to sell its Oaris prototype 105-001 to Adif.

On 3 July 2023, following an invitation to tender issued in December 2022, Adif announced that it had ordered a diagnostics train from CAF.

There is another one operator for the TRAXX3 MS locomotives and the first one based in Poland.

Talbot Services is refurbishing and redesigning 35 Coradia Continental EMUs on behalf of Alpha Trains. The first converted trains have been presented to the public at the Talbot works in Aachen on 30 June 2023. 

On 30 June 2023, for the first time, Certus Rail Solutions officially runs on the Belgian network. 

During June, European Loc Pool handed over the first three EURO9000 locomotives for lease.

On 29 June 2023 Alstom and Northrail have completed a framework contract for 50 multi-system TRAXX Universal locomotives with a full-service maintenance package for up to 16 years.

On 29 June 2023 the newest shunting locomotive TEM23-0002 built at BMZ has been sent to RZD for operational testing, to the Bryansk II depot.
