On 14 October 2021, UL started the next stage of assembly of the new electric locomotive.

Uralskie lokomotivy (a Sinara Group and Siemens joint venture) is preparing for production a new 3 kV DC Class 2ES6A locomotive with asynchronous traction equipment.
