PKP CARGO INTERNATIONAL has started using one Dragon 2 (Type E6MST) locomotive.
On 31 January 2024, Griffin E4MSUa-002 (5370 078) was sent from Poland to the VUZ test centre at Velim to start the first tests of the new multiple-voltage version outside Poland.
On 16 November 2023 Akiem signed a contract with Newag for delivery of 30 Dragon 2 electric locomotives, with an option for 50 more.
At the beginning of August this year, PKP IC launched a tender for the purchase of 46 single-voltage locomotives with a maximum speed of 160 km/h and with the on-board ETCS Level 2 for use on national lines.

Dragon 2 Type E6MST locomotives, i.e. the Polish Class ET43, have been appearing occasionally on freight trains in Poland since the beginning of April.
