Class ET43 Dragons In Service

Dragon 2 Type E6MST locomotives, i.e. the Polish Class ET43, have been appearing occasionally on freight trains in Poland since the beginning of April, and since about mid-April various locomotives of this class have also been appearing on the Správa železnic network for the training of PKP CARGO staff.

ERA granted approval for these locomotives to operate in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia on 28 February 2023. At the same time, the Authorisation for Placing on the Market (APOM) for the first 12 locomotives was issued on the same date and subsequently handed over. Four more followed in the second half of April, and the production of the 24 ordered in this version is now complete.
