Northrail announces the conclusion of a purchase agreement for ten ETCS-equipped DE 18 Stage V locomotives with Vossloh Rolling Stock.

Nexrail Lease exhibited two locomotives, a representative of the first DE 18 SmartHybrid series in production and the brand new pure battery e6, developed and produced in cooperation with the Italian company IPE 2000 Locomotori.

On 26 March 2024, SPITZKE SE and Vossloh Rolling Stock signed a contract for ten low-emission DE 18 Stage V locomotives.

Polo Logistica FS purchased eight Type DE 18 locomotives, manufactured by Vossloh Rolling Stock, used by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI) in the Strait of Messina and for maintenance operations.

On 26 March 2024, RAILPOOL and Rheinische Bahnpersonal- und Verkehrsgesellschaft signed the full-service leasing contract for five Modula hybrid shunting locomotives.

On 20 October 2023 Vossloh Rolling Stock and RAILPOOL have signed several contracts for the delivery of 45 Modula locomotives in two versions with the option to purchase a further 142.

In late June 2023 the BBL LOGISTIK group and Vossloh Rolling Stock signed a purchase contract for ten low-emission Type DE 18 Stage V locomotives. 

On 18 April 2023 Vossloh Rolling Stock announced that the European Railway Agency (ERA) has approved the DE 18 Stage V mixed-traffic locomotive for use on the Italian network.

In the form of a model, AZLok as a representative of the framework contract signed between CRRC and DB Netz on 25 May 2018 was present at the Vossloh Rolling Stock stand.

At the stand of Vossloh Rolling Stock also its subsidiary Locomotion Service was presented, which is based in Kiel and has been maintaining and servicing Vossloh locomotives.

Although Vossloh Rolling Stock has made significant strides towards dual-power and emission-free locomotives, it is not abandoning diesel locomotives for the future, as they are difficult to substitute in some applications.
