Nightjet On Test In Velim

At the VUZ Velim test centre many interesting vehicles have recently appeared, for example the TGV M high-speed train from the batch for SNCF, two double-deck EMUs for WESTbahn from CRRC or freight locomotives from the production of the same concern, and most recently, on 23 January 2023, the DMU 847.001 for ČD from PESA arrived here. 

On 12 December 2022, some cars from the non-powered multiple unit for a NightJet of ÖBB arrived in Velim, which is to stay here around until mid or late March for testing purposes needed for homologation. Siemens does not plan to send another Nightjet rake (or cars) to Velim currently. About the delivery and the start of passenger service, Siemens is confident that it will hand over the first train(s) to ÖBB during this summer.
