First Class 362 locomotive for RegioJet

On 16 April 2025, it was possible to see the first "pershing" of RegioJet in Přerov after the reconstruction to a dual-voltage locomotive. Specifically, it is the original machine 162.112 (3 kV DC only), which is now re-designated 362.212 (3 kV DC + 25 kV 50 Hz). The biggest surprise is the retro painting, which remembers the initial unified colours of the Class 363 locomotives produced by Škoda for then ČSD.

362.212 is now owned by RegioJet Pool. The work, which is based on the tender "Implementation of the 25 kV 50 Hz traction system in 9 locomotives of Type 99E1", is being carried out by Českomoravská železniční opravna (ČMŽO), Přerov, on the basis of a contract from July 2024. All machines of the new Class 362.2 of RJ will later receive the on-board ETCS.
