More S700 Trams For Valley Metro

On 1 October 2020 Siemens announced that Valley Metro, the regional public transportation agency providing coordinated transit services to residents of Phoenix, has ordered 14 Type S700 trams. They will be built at the Sacramento works, with delivery starting in the first half of 2023, and will expand the fleet required especially for the 2024 completion date of South Central Extension/Downtown Hub. Valley Metro previously ordered 11 of such trams from Siemens Mobility in 2017.
