On 11 June 2019 the first M7 power car built for SNCB has started the test program on the VUZ Velim test centre. M7 forms part of the SNCB order at a Bombardier/Alstom consortium for 200 km/h double deck trains. As part of this order Alstom will build 90 power cars. The delivery should take place between 2018 and 2021, but the project is running late. In summer 2018 Bombardier sent a M7 intermediate car to the Czech republic for testing on the Velim circuit.
