More TRAXX3 MS locomotives for RegioJet

On 29 September 2024, six new TRAXX3 MS locomotives were transported from Kassel to RegioJet's base in Praha-Malešice. This is part of a contract for 13 of these machines, announced in February 2023. They are registered in Austria, under RegioJet's subsidiary there, as 1388 219 - 224.

According to RegioJet: "the locomotives have been issued a permit by Drážní úřad for test operation, so they will be put into service during October as soon as all the conditions set by the DÚ for the start of trial operation have been met."

For the TRAXX3 MS locomotives, the problem of the ongoing approval process of the Atlas OBU ETCS still remains, which disables operation on the main lines in Austria, and also means the impossibility of operation under ETCS supervision in the Czech Republic.
