A Busy Summer For Shcherbinka

In Mid-August VNIIZhT test centre was hosting a full consignment of new vehicles destined for the Russian network. Examples include the first 25 kV Granit, 11201-001, built by Uralskie lokomotivy (the photo dates from 3 August 2013), an infrastructure inspection diesel railcar 611M-001, built by PESA (seen here on 29 July), and 25 kV locomotive 2ES5-002 (together with 001, not visible in this photo, taken on 2 August), built by NEVZ. The final photo in the sequence shows KZ8A-0002 together with a Class VL80 electric hauling a rake of freight wagons on 6 July 2013.
