Giant Class 4ES5K Takes To The Rails

In July 2014 NEVZ completed a four-section 25 kV AC Class 4ES5K Yermak, with two booster sections. The result is a machine with an hourly rating of 13,120 kW, which will be useful for hauling heavy freights on eastern parts of RZD’s network with difficult mountainous terrain.
