First Cars Of Type 16Ev Panters Arrived In Riga

The order for a batch 32 Type 16Ev EMUs for Pasažieru vilciens has entered the next phase. After the first two cars were dispatched from the Czech Republic this week, they arrived in Riga on 23 June 2022.

Contrary to the original plans to transport the EMUs by rail, due to the war in Ukraine and related problems, all the cars will eventually be transported by road. Their final completion will therefore take place directly in Latvia. The departure of two further cars from Ostrava is scheduled for 27 September.
