ČD ComfortJets in regular service to Berlin

Starting Sunday 29 September 2024, ČD uses two ComfortJet non-traction multiple units (Nos. 004 and 005) into regular passenger service on the EC 178/175 and EC 176/177 "Berliner" Praha - Berlin trains. Before that, on the occasion of the InnoTrans, ČD deployed for the first time on the EC "Berliner" unit 004 on 24 and 25 September.

The ComfortJets are in a temporary eight-car arrangement (instead of nine-car one) - for the time being they lack driving trailers and restaurant cars. That is why there are being coupled the classic restaurant coaches at one end of the NMU. Currently, ČD has four trains ready for operation, one of which is also running to Slovakia.
