TMH Develops Asynchronous Motors For Ivolga EMUs

In December 2022, TMH announced that a new Type DTA-380 asynchronous traction motor has been produced at TMH-Elektrotekh, a Transmashholding's subsidiary based in Novocherkassk. The new motor for Ivolga 3.0 EMUs with a design speed of 160 km/h was developed by TMH's own engineering centre, TMH Engineering. Certification tests of the DTA-380 are currently underway. It is expected that it will receive a certificate of compliance with the Customs Union's technical regulations in June 2023.
