In cooperation with Siemens and Stadler, a total of 106 Class 483/484 EMUs will be built for the Berlin S-Bahn, with batch deliveries between 2022 and 2023. The pre-series trainsets are undergoing tests of various kinds on the Wegberg-Wildenrath test circuit and in Berlin, and one is now in the RTA climatic wind tunnel. It is a Class 484 four-car train, which will stay there for 12 weeks, with the measurements taking place on one end and one intermediate car, using more than 350 sensors.
