Another batch of ÖBB Vectrons

By the end of February 2025, Vectrons from another ÖBB option were gradually put into service. In 2017, the latter concluded a framework contract for 200 of these machines, on the basis of which it is gradually ordering more - 171 in total so far. Of those previously delivered, the A35 variant included 1293 001 to 085 in 2018 - 2021 and 1293 086 to 095 in the second half of 2023, while the 1293 173 to 200 batch in the A60 variant was delivered in 2020.

The latest order delivered was for locomotives 1293 096 to 123. These correspond to the A17 version for now, but should be converted to the A35 version around the middle of this year, which means the possibility of operating to Italy. The locomotives from the next order, 1293 124 to 143, which were ordered also for passenger services, are due to follow in April 2025.
