Refurbishment Of The Ex-ÖBB Cars

In early 2011 ČD negotiated the purchase from ÖBB of 32 carriages. 16 of these were put into service at once, while the remainder is to be thoroughly refurbished. Following the contract awarded in March 2013 to Janoza CZ, whose works is situated at Praha-Zličín, „revitalisation“ (a kind of ČD’s refurbishing manner) is now progressing, as shown in these photos, taken on 21 February 2014, involving six of the Bmz carriages.
