PV's Panter On Test On The LDz Network

Shortly after the presentation of the 16Ev-02 to the public at Riga central station, it can be seen on test on the LDz network. The tests are now taking place on a dedicated track on the approximately 11 km long Šķirotava - Salaspils stretch (south-east of Riga) of the Riga - Krustpils line.

Initial brake tests are currently being carried out here - on 13 September 2022 the Panter was pulled by LDz Cargo’s ČME3M-6149 shunter to Salaspils station and then returned to Šķirotava station. The EMU accelerated to a maximum speed of 30 km/h and then braked, the length of this cycle being about 1 km.
