At the end of May, PKP IC’s „Pendolino“ ED250-001 (2 370 001 - 007) was in Austria for the fourth time for extensive test programe. The homologation runs, supervised by the RTS Rail Transport Services, took the seven-car Polish non-tilting train from Salzburg Hbf via Tauernbahn and Villach Hbf - Klagenfurt Hbf to Niklasdorf station on 1 June 2022 as part of interference current and brake measurements, during which acceleration and brake tests were also carried out.
While the Class ED250 is not allowed to run on the sinuous Semmering line with many tunnels, the test train returned from Niklasdorf to Villach, from where it was hauled to the WESTbox in Linz the following day for dismantling of the measuring equipment.
