In late 2020, LKZ and Wabtec completed the first two prototypes of the new four-axle Class TEM11A. They then started certification testing, which was completed in the summer of 2022, and in summer LKZ informed that both prototypes were at the Astana works awaiting handover to the customer.
Both new Evolution machines have been accepted by KTZ in August 2022 and are in revenue operations now. At present LKZ is preparing to start the batch production in 2023, and it is envisaged that 12 new shunters will be delivered in the 4th quarter of 2023 and seven more in the first quarter of 2024.
