First 3TE28 Started Test Runs On The RZD Network

On 13 October 2022, following the preliminary testing at the BMZ works, the 3TE28-0001 prototype left the Bryansk for the Kurbakinskaya depot (northwest of Kursk) to undergo test runs there. This is the most important final stage of preliminary tests, during which the locomotive will have to cover 10,000 km and prove in practice the declared technical characteristics. In this phase, the speed of the locomotive in operation on various sections with trains of a certain length and weight will be assessed. 

As a result of successful testing, the design documentation will be assigned the letter "O" and acceptance testing of the locomotive will begin.
