Class 3ES8 Unveiled

On 11 March 2022, the presentation of the new Class 3ES8 electric locomotive took place at the Uralskie lokomotivy works. This freight locomotive is the first sample of the planned new family of UL-built electric locomotives, which will be named Malakhit (after the most famous symbol of the Ural region). The 3ES8-001 prototype has already started the approval tests, which are scheduled to be completed by October this year.
