First Malakhit was put into operation

On 26 December 2023, the UL works handed over the first Class 3ES8 mainline electric freight locomotive to RZD. It received the certificate of compliance with the requirements of the Customs Union Technical Regulations (TR TS 001/2011) in August 2023.
The new machine will be operated on the St. Peterburg - Babaevo - Ust-Luga line of the Oktyabrskaya railway. Warranty and service maintenance of Malakhit under the life cycle contract will be carried out at the Babaevo depot, where the UL's regional maintenance centre No. 15 is located.
