18 Baltiets Units To Be Delivered To St. Peterburg In 2022 - 2023.

Since mid-September, the first Model 81-725.1/726.1/727.1 Baltiets eight-car unit is undergoing tests on the St. Peterburg metro network. The train travels more than 100 km at night and daytime with simulated operation in normal mode. The second train started commissioning work in early October. With 16 cars already delivered, OEVRZ will build another 128 cars for St. Peterburg in 2022 and 2023 TMH.

According to the contract signed between Peterburgsky metropoliten and Transholding, 950 metro cars will be delivered to the city between 2022 and 2031 under a leasing deal with VEB.RF with the involvement of the National Welfare Fund.
