In the 2025 timetable, new services will be introduced between the Czech Republic and Poland connecting Praha and Gdynia under the name "Baltic Express". These will be the first direct services of their kind: these four train pairs daily will llink the Czech Republic with the Baltic coast via Wrocław, Poznań and Bydgoszcz. The rakes will be formed by the ČD and PKP IC carriages.
The latter operator will also provide traction in the form of Vectrons (in turn, ČD's Vectrons will haul trains from the Czech Republic to Warszawa). In order to test the Polish locomotive on the Czech territory, Vectron 193 324 of CARGOUNIT was used on 4 December 2024 on the Bohumín - Praha section on the EC 116 "Silesia" Warszawa Wschodnia - Praha hl. n. The locomotive returned to Bohumín on the EC 145 "Ostravan" Praha - Návsí (Nawsie). The reason was to test the Polish locomotive on the Czech network, especially the functionality of ETCS.
