Škoda Group acquires Cegelec

On 14 May 2024, Škoda Group announced that it had acquired 100 % of the shares of Cegelec a. s. from VINCI Energies, a member of the multinational industrial group VINCI. Škoda Group is thus expanding its portfolio with additional components for various public transport vehicles and an interesting range of services. Škoda is also gaining a highly experienced team of employees. Cegelec will continue its business activities within the Škoda Group under the new name Electric Components a. s. 

"The Škoda Group is undergoing long-term development and part of this is strengthening our development, production and service capacities. We are looking forward to working with new colleagues and working on interesting projects - both existing and new ones that are coming soon", said Karel Majer, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Commercial Director of Škoda Electric, under which the newly acquired company will be incorporated.
