New TVZ bogies for passenger cars

The new Model 68-4120 bogie with increased axle-load and coil springs was developed by TMH Engineering and manufactured by TVZ. It is designed for modern double-deckers and designed for an axle-load of 19.5 tonnes instead of the previous 18 tonnes. The bogie is equipped with a new type of torsion stabilizer, which provides the car with high stability, smooth passage through curves, reduced lateral sway, and thus higher safety and comfort for passengers, which was confirmed by test runs at the VNIIZhT Belorechenskaya - Maikop test polygon.

The Model 68-4120 is designed for a speed of 160 km/h and will become the basis for the development of other types in the coming years - a bogie with a generator for coaches with autonomous power supply is already in the pipeline, and the development of a bogie for 200 km/h is planned.
