New Diagnostics Railcar For HŽ Infrastruktura

In 2021, HŽ Infrastruktura has selected Končar Electric Vehicles to deliver a new monitoring diesel railcar for the diagnostics of tracks in Croatia. The vehicle is 25 m long, weighs 72 t and have a maximum speed of 140 km/h. The drive system consists of a diesel power-pack, a traction converter and two traction motors mounted in one bogie.
Also in 2021 the manufacturer awarded Traktionssysteme Austria for the delivery of the traction motors. They are 300 kW self-ventilated asynchronous motors, and will be produced and delivered in 2022.
