More Swing Trams For Sofia

On 29 January 2019 a contract between PESA Bydgoszcz and Stolichen Elektrotransport EAD for the supply of 13 low-floor Type 122NaSF2 Swing trams was signed in the Bulgarian capital. The new Swings are 30 m long, have 41 seats and space for 160 standees, and are adapted for persons with disabilities. The contract, worth over 98 million PLN, also includes the supply of spare parts, diagnostic equipment and a staff training. All the new trams are expected to be delivered before the end of 2019. This is the third contract between PESA and Stolichen Elektrotransport. So far the Polish company delivered 25 Swings to Sofia on the basis of two contracts signed in 2013 and 2016.
