More Škoda ForCity Plus Trams For Bratislava

On 22 March 2022, DPB (Dopravný podnik Bratislava) and Škoda Transportation have signed contract for the delivery of up to 30 Type Škoda 29T ForCity Plus trams. The five-car vehicles with four bogies will have a 1,000 mm track-gauge, a length of 32.5 m and a width of 2.5 m. The contract worth is almost 72 million EUR (2.39 million EUR per tram), the delivery is scheduled for 2023. 

Trams from Škoda Transportation are already running in Bratislava. DPB ordered them in July 2013 and the group delivered them in 2015 and 2016. In total, there are 60 vehicles, half of which are unidirectional (29T) and half bidirectional (30T) trams. In total, they have covered 22.5 million km on the streets of the Slovak capital.
