Go-Ahead completed sale of German rail operations to ÖBB

On 1 February 2024, the Go-Ahead Group has completed the sale of its German rail business to ÖBB. After five years of operations, including three rail contracts in Baden-Württemberg and two in Bayern, the sale represents a full exit for Go-Ahead from the German rail market.

Miguel Parras, Group Chief Executive, the Go-Ahead Group said: "We are proud of Go-Ahead’s contribution to Germany rail over this period, having delivered positive outcomes for passengers - including a fleet of new trains, high customer service and increased capacity. We take this opportunity to thank the management team and all of the employees for their dedication and hard work over these 5 years, and wish them and ÖBB well for the future".
