First Škoda Metro Train For Warszawa

In April, Škoda Transportation began transporting the first metro units from the current contract for 37 six-car trains to Warszawa. The first of these, but the second to be built, with end cars 10642 + 10643, left Plzeň on 23 April 2022 and arrived in Bohumín on 24 April, from where it continued to Warszawa via Chalupki.

The second set, with end cars 10644 + 10645, left Plzeň on 30 April and arrived in Bohumín on 1 May 2022. The transports to the Polish capital were carried out by ČD Cargo in cooperation with its Polish subsidiary CD Cargo Poland. 

The first two Varsovias will now undergo test runs in Warszawa. The first unit produced, with end cars 10640 + 10641, is being tested at VUZ Velim since 18 February 2022.
