ETCS Onboard Systems For Israel Railways

On 10 December 2018 Alstom has been awarded a contract to equip Israel Railways' (ISR) rolling stock fleet with ETCS Level 2 onboard equipment. The contract, worth 45 million EUR, is for the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the system. Alstom will supply its Atlas solution for ISR’s entire fleet, composed of 192 vehicles, with an option for 34 more. The design of the project is expected to begin in January 2019. Project management will be conducted by Alstom, with installation taking about two years.
