Deliveries Of Vectrons For METRANS Continues

On 1 December 2021, METRANS took over locomotives 383.413 and 414, which form part of the ten-strong option from 2020. Both Vectrons arrived in the Czech Republic on 22 October and in the meantime were awaiting the issue of a vehicle certificate by DÚ (the Czech transport authority), which is being processed by the manufacturer, Siemens Mobility. 

383.413 was fitted with vinyls making the operator's carbon-neutral transport more visible (this was an activity of the parent company HHLA and only the locomotive pictured here is wearing this design).

At this point METRANS has a total of 14 Vectron MS locomotives in its fleet (joining the existing 40 TRAXX F140 MS locomotives). Machines 383.411 and 412 entered service on 30 September 2021, with the remaining six of the option scheduled for deliveries by spring 2022.
