CZ LOKO returns to InnoTrans

The DualShunter 2000 (DS 2000) locomotive will be the main exhibit that CZ LOKO will present in Berlin. The company last exhibited at InnoTrans 2018, when it christened its 1,000th locomotive - the EffiShunter 1000, representing its flagship product. But then came the covid pandemic and now CZ LOKO is coming to Berlin with another new product to appeal to other customer groups.

Jan Kutálek, Sales Director and Member of the Board of CZ LOKO, explains: "We want to show the current trends in design and 'green' technology in the field of shunting locomotives, where we are among the leaders. The development, influenced by the Green Deal for Europe, is irreversible. We have already done a lot of work and invested hundreds of millions of crowns in greening the railway and reducing our carbon footprint. So we have something to show for it.

It is the DS 2000 DC locomotive that we see our future. Two prototypes have been completed and the approval process is nearing completion and batch production is about to start. More than 20 of these vehicles are under contract or under negotiation. At the same time, an extension is being prepared for operation in the Czech Republic and Poland, and an alternate version for the Central and Western European markets after 2027."
