Acceptance of the Class ES104 Lastochka completed

On 8 November 2023 UL held a meeting of the interdepartmental commission  for the acceptance of the new Class ES104. The commission was attended by heads of RZD‘s divisions, specialised research institutes, and representatives of component suppliers.

Based on the results of the commission work, the compliance of the train with the requirements of the technical specification was confirmed, the possibility  of the introductory batch of 60 trains was determined, and the period of controlled operation within a year was set. It is envisaged that in the near future the certificate for the new class will be obtained, and UL will start delivery of the first units to RZD. 

The contract providing for the delivery of 22 Class ES104s in 2023 - 2024 was signed in April. It is planned that by the end of this year the plant will deliver 12 five-car Lastochkas to the Sverdlovsk railway. The drivers have already been successfully trained by the specialists of UL.
