Vectron AC DPM Locomotives For ČD Cargo

First of the Vectron AC DPM locomotives ordered by ČD Cargo has started test runs. Contract for two locomotives with a 180 kW Last Mile module, which Siemens refers to as the Diesel Power Module (DPM), was announced in early December 2021. Delivery of the locomotives is scheduled for the second half of March. They are primarily intended for operation in Austria, however, approval for this type to operate in the Czech Republic was granted in October 2017.
