TMH will produce new EMUs and coaches with financial support from VEB.RF

On 5 August 2024, an agreement was signed between TVZ and Russian VEB.RF bank for a loan of 7.274 billion RUB (around 79 million EUR) provided over three years, until June 2027. During this time, TVZ will increase production capacity for Ivolga EMUs, which will allow to meet the transport demand on the Moskva Central Diameter lines in view of their planned expansion to the surrounding regions. 

In addition, TVZ will start batch production of a new range of coaches in T loading gauge, which will offer higher passenger capacity and comfort compared to existing carriage types. TVZ will also start building of a new range of double-deck cars with improved features and with the mileage between inspections increased up to 25,000 km.

The main objective of the project is to create a unified production chain, so that the Tver-based factory will set up new technological areas for material machining or laser cutting of sheet metal, but will also upgrade turning and milling lines, paint booths, quality control equipment, etc. The total cost of the project is 9.374 million RUB (around 102 million EUR), of which 7.274 million is a loan repayable over 15 years, the rest is co-financed by TMH.
