Siemens Mobility and Beacon Rail sign major framework contract for Vectrons

On 30 September 2024, Beacon Rail and Siemens Mobility have signed a major framework agreement for the delivery of Vectron MS locomotives, with an initial contract of 25 ones. The new locomotives with a power of 6,400 kW will supplement the existing Vectron Beacon Rail's fleet, increasing its number to over 180.

We asked Siemens, when these locomotives will be delivered. The manufacturer asnwered us: "These locomotives will be delivered in the coming years. More concrete dates cannot be shared."
