RegioFox DMUs approved

On 24 May 2024, Drážní úřad (DÚ) issued a type approval for the ČD Class 847 DMUs. At the same time, authorization for placing on the market (APOM) has been issued for 26 RegioFoxes. This is an important milestone, because until now only six units could be in test service with passengers, which DÚ has authorized for a test period.

Now transports of more units already built in the meantime can be started from PESA, followed by their handover to ČD and putting them into regular passenger service. Actually 847.027, 025 and 029 were the first ones to be transported from these waiting queues at Bydgoszcz on 16 May 2024.

ČD has so far placed orders with PESA Bydgoszcz for 106 of these two-car DMUs.
