OVK Rolls Out First Articulated Tank Wagons

OVK (UWC) announced it has received a contract from the TEXOL group, one of Kazakhstan's largest railway operators and wagon owners, for the supply of 400 articulated tank wagons for the transportation of liquefied petroleum gas. This articulated tank car design is revolutionary, with no other model on the CIS market able to match its technical and operational standards. The Model 15-9541-01 cars will be subjected to test operation with their performance continuously monitored in the TEXOL’s fleet. 24 m long, the wagon has a tank volume of 163.1 m³ and a payload of 90 t, which allows the fleet size to be reduced by more than a half compared to standard LPG cars.
