More Vectrons For CARGOUNIT

On 22 September 2021, at TRAKO, Industrial Division (CARGOUNIT), the largest independent locomotive leasing company in Poland, has ordered Vectron MS locomotives. The framework agreement, the Siemens Mobility's largest one for Vectron MS locomotives in Poland, includes the delivery of ten Vectrons by the end of 2023 and an option for 20 more by 2024, as well as their maintenance. The first two machines will be delivered already this year.

The new quadruple-voltage 200 km/h Vectrons are planned for service in Poland, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, and Serbia, the Netherlands and optionally Romania and Bulgaria. Łukasz Boroń, CARGOUNIT President of the Management Board, said: „One important aspect when choosing a supplier was the ability to quickly deliver fully homologated locomotives to meet the current needs of our customers.“

The company previously ordered six Vectron MSes: one in 2018 (5370 028/193 807, which is leased to LOTOS Kolej) and five in 2019 (5 370 035 - 039/193 489, 566 - 569, on hire to Bahnoperator Polska). To date, Siemens Mobility has sold 1,114 Vectrons, including 736 Vectron MSes, to 56 customers in 16 countries.
