The very first of these, 386.001, reached the Czech Republic on 24 October 2014 and realised its commissioning runs on the 30th, on the main line between Praha and Velim and on the VUZ test circuit. 386.002 and 003 followed on 8 November, reaching the country in the same manner as did 386.001, incorporated in METRANS Rail's train 43305 Rotterdam - Praha. The first photo shows the delivery of 386.002 and 003, near Řež, haulage being provided by 186 181, on hire from Railpool. This will now be the standard practice for the deliveries of the remainder of the batch.
386.002 and 003 realised their commissioning runs on 12 November 2014, the second photo being taken that day, showing 386.003 on the large test ring at Velim. 386.004 and 005 are now planned to reach the Czech Republic on 22 November, and 006 and 007 on the 27th. They will initially be used on METRANS Rail's services between the Czech Republic and Germany, once commissioning formalities have been completed.
