First EffiShunter 1000M For ZSSK CARGO

The first modernised Class 742.6 locomotive for the Slovak state rail freight operator has started its test runs recently.

On 9 June 2022 ZSSK CARGO and CZ LOKO concluded a contract for modernising of 20 Class 742 machines, with an option for further 20. The first two have been completely manufactured in CZ LOKO's workshops in Jihlava, and then the Croatian company TŽV Gredelj (a subsidiary of Tatravagónka) will participate in the batch production by modernising the main frames and providing final assembly of the locomotives.
