CRH6 EMU Presentation

On 30 November 2012 CSR presented the prototype of the eight-car Class CRH6 EMU (see R 5/12, p. 34). The prototype, which carries the number CRH6A-4001/4002, is shown in the photo at CSR’s Qingdao Sifang works in late November 2012. The train, which CSR plans to offer also to European operators, has been given the brand name Cinova (which stands for China, intercity, and nova).
