Bombardier Delivers The 10,000th Overhauled Bogie

On 28 October 2020 Bombardier Transportation delivered the 10,000th overhauled bogie from its Siegen works, a worldwide bogie centre of competence, with around 800 employees, where the FLEXX bogies are developed, produced, serviced and overhauled for rail operators across the globe.

Since its foundation in 2003, the service department’s output has grown continuously from about 90 overhauled bogies a year to over 1,000 ones annually, for the full range of vehicles, from trams and locomotives to ICE4 HSTs. Across the globe, over 70 different customers from Germany, Europe, Japan and other countries have placed their trust in Bombardier’s bogie expertise.
