An era in RegioJet's operations came to an end when the last of the Vectrons on long-term lease from ELL, 193 226, was returned on 14 July 2024. This locomotive was part of the quintet of 193 205, 206, 214, 226 and 227, which were painted in the operator's yellow livery in view of the long-term lease.
After the Vectrons, RegioJet began to build its fleet of modern locomotives on the TRAXX type, first with four 386.201 - 204 machines from 2018 and then with the new generation TRAXX3 MS locomotives of the Class 388.2.
However, there are a number of other Vectrons in RJ service on various lengthy leases from different operators. The new additions are 193 433 and 442 of ELL, which are operated by the newly established Czech pool CT-Train. On 14 July 2024, the first Vectron to be leased to RegioJet was 193 433, which directly replaced the aforementioned 193 226. Then on 2 August Vectron 193 442 arrived in Praha, destined for RegioJet dut, too.
