In early April 2021, OVK (UWC) announced that it will supply 3,600 Model 13-6903 container wagons to RB Group, a rolling stock owner and operator, whose partners are major seaports, forwarding companies, terminals and logistics centres. Delivery dates were not disclosed. By December 2020, the RB Group’s fleet included 2,500 flat wagons.
The 120 km/h Model 13-6903 wagon has a length of 80 ft and a 74.5 t payload. It is able to accommodate 20-, 30-, or 40-ft containers, including refrigerator and tank containers with a gross weight of up to 36 t. The containers of various sizes are placed and secured on the wagon in compliance with local technical conditions. The main frame is fitted with 4 fixed and 10 doubled movable pins to ensure that the containers are reliably secured.
This TVSZ-built model has been part of the OVK’s portfolio since 2017, and is mounted on the 25 t axle-load bogies with an increased maintenance interval of up to 1 million km (or 8 years). The service life of the wagon is 32 years.
