First EffiShunter For Trainpoint Norway

Shortly after midnight on 6 September, the first of the five EffiShunter 1000 locomotives ordered by Trainpoint Norway left the CZ LOKO works in Jihlava heading for Sweden. It is to be put into service in Sweden in the first months of 2023, once the homologation process is concluded.

Trainpoint Norway ordered one machine in February 2021, with four more to follow later. Sweden is the twentieth country to which CZ LOKO exports its locomotive. Another contract came from the Nordic region last month, as AC Finance, a subsidiary of RailCare, placed an order for five Effishunter 1000s, with an option for a further four.
